Sculpture with wire and recycled metal - Free Adults Workshop
A fantastic opportunity to take part in a free sculpture workshop with local artist Lara Greene. Learn various ways to form and join wire and other recycled metals to create your own unique art!

About the event
Join Lara from Transform Arts CIC to make sculpture in metal!
During this workshop participants will be using copper wire and various recycled metal items and materials. Explore techniques to bend, roll, fold, emboss, cut and join metal and create your own art inspired by 'King of Kings' a group of four Sculptures by Agnes Jones which are on loan will be on display in the venue. We will also be looking at wire portraits by artsist Alexander Calder for inspiration. Make something to be pround of, have fun and socialise!
Bring a packed lunch or you can buy something locally. Teas and coffees and snacks will be available free.

This workshop is part of the Galashiels Sculpture Project in which many sculptures on loan have been placed around the town.

The sessions are open for anyone, of any level of experience or ability, to have fun, get creative & socialise!
The workshops are open to anyone age 16+ ( or younger with an accompaying adult.)
Carers welcome, only book a place for the accompanying adult only if they are also taking part in the workshop, which is welcomed, otherwise just come along to support..
